A brief intro for those of you stopping in for the first time:

I found out by writing and reading here that my main interests focus around learning, animals, travel, plants and science.  While at the same time, I can indulge in whatever off-topic subject catches my fancy.  : )

I live in the Adirondack Mountains in (waaay) Upstate NY and have been looking for a way to make money from home and amuse myself at the same time. Deciding that writing would enable me to explore all my interests and be fun too, I set out to find a place to publish.

And.........

I have found that HubPages is the perfect place to enjoy the love of writing combined with the fun of designing and putting together web pages. It offers the flexibility to be able to write about whatever topic I'm most interested in at the moment while at the same time being able to organize it all in a purposeful way. Add to that the potential to earn some money, maybe even a viable income, and that makes it just what I was looking for!

And if that isn't enough, the community of writers here are friendly, interesting and helpful. There are many ways you can talk to others or get quick and useful answers to your questions.
